These terms cover the use of this website and the painting work we carry out. Your written quote always takes precedence over anything general written here.

Estimates and quotes

Estimates are free and carry no obligation. A quote becomes a contract when you accept it in writing — email or text is fine. Quotes are based on what we could see at the walkthrough.

Changes and hidden conditions

If we uncover something that could not reasonably have been seen during the estimate — soft drywall behind a cabinet, rot under trim, a failing coating under the top layer — we stop, show you and agree the additional cost before continuing. We do not add work to an invoice that you have not approved.

Scheduling and weather

Exterior work in Florida depends on the weather. Rain, high humidity and storms can move a schedule, and coating a wet or unsuitable surface is not something we will do to stay on a date. If a date moves, you hear it from us as soon as we know.

Access and preparation

We ask for reasonable access to the work area, power and water, and that valuables and fragile items are moved or pointed out before we start. We move and protect furniture as agreed in the quote.

Payment

Payment terms are set out in your quote. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due on completion after the final walkthrough.

Workmanship

We walk the finished job with you before invoicing. If something is not right, tell us then and we will put it right.

One year workmanship warranty on the painting, on work quoted with the full preparation in it. That warranty covers our work — peeling, flaking or a coat that fails where it was applied. It is tied to the scope in your quote: where a job is cut back to fewer coats or reduced preparation at the customer's request, we will say so in writing and the warranty does not apply to that part. It does not cover damage from leaks, movement or moisture coming through the surface from behind.

What is not covered

Paint is a finish, not a repair. We are not responsible for failures caused by conditions outside the painted surface — active leaks, structural movement, moisture behind a wall, or damage that happens after we leave. Where we spot such a condition we will tell you rather than paint over it.
